Town of Princeton, Mass. PLANNING BOARD Minutes --– Oct. 18, 2017
In Town Hall Annex; present were: John Mirick, Ian Catlow, Tom Sullivan, and Tom Daly plus alternate Ann Neuburg. Rud Mason was absent.
7:30 PM Discussion of request from Environmental Action Committee, which sent each board a letter with bullet points of proposed goals. Tom S. noted that most of the goals were covered by existing regulations or agencies. John M. offered to draft a reply and explain that current zoning is comprehensive in addressing most open space protection issues and aligns with the EAC mission. He will ask that EAC members forward to PB any ideas that may be supported by additions or changes to the zoning bylaws.
7:40 PM Board briefly reviewed issues around the two public hearings before ZBA on Oct. 19. John M. submitted letter to ZBA for the hearing that describes any site plan concerns at Nimrod League at 168 Coal Kiln Road and J & S Automotive at 184 Worcester Road.
Continued discussion on proposed sign by-law and related issues. Board will meet with BOS and also Advisory Committee to review draft zoning articles. Group may be reviewing signage bylaws with Road Advisory Committee rather than Glenn L. Still considering a design template for size, color, background, font for directional signs each business would pay for, installed with permission of BOS. Also may consider number of signs along route to the business.

8:00 PM Board voted all in favor to adjourn.
